The Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH) is a Continuing Care Retirement Community. The primary purpose of the positions is to assist the senior specialists in ensuring that all financial operations are performed properly at each campus, making user fee determinations and offer other assistance to Residents.

As a Financial Analyst, you will:
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-09, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Perform administrative and analytical duties related to accounts receivable, billing and collections.
AND
- Applying Agencies / Organizations policies and procedures in relation to commonly used budget or financial practices.
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B. or J.D., with a Major course of study in finance, business administration, economics, accounting, insurance, engineering, mathematics, banking and credit, law, real estate operations, statistics, or other fields related to the position, such as agriculture, agricultural economics, farm, livestock or ranch management, or rural sociology.
OR
You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Combining Education and Experience: When combining education with experience, first determine your total qualifying education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; then determine your experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; finally, add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify for that grade level. (For example: the completion of 50% of the requirements for a Masters and 6 months of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07.) Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grade GS-9.

The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. If you are qualifying based on foreign education, you must submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency. Refer to the
