This position is located within the Morale Welfare and Recreation program aboard NAVAL STATION NORFOLK Aquatics Department.

Duties

Responsible to the coordination and operation of the pools, beaches, and related facilities. Coordinates the day -to day operations of the aquatic program including lessons, parties, special events, swim meets, PRT and related activities.

Requirements

• Must pass all applicable records and background check.
• Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
• Incumbent must maintain certifications for the following: Lifeguard, Lifeguard Instructor, CPR for Professional Rescuer, CPR Instructor, Water Safety Instructor.
• Must possess and maintain a current driver's license.
• Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National

Qualifications

A qualified candidate possess the following: Must possess experience that enables the employee to completely and independently carry out the aquatic program through proper adaptation of principles, concepts, and techniques of swimming operations to the specific needs at hand. A minimum of two years of documented experience in lifeguarding with a minimum of six months in a leader, supervisory role is required.

This position does not have a positive education requirement.

You must have current, active CPR, Lifeguard and First Aid certifications
