Duties
As a Management Information Specialist, you will:
Develop and implement procedures within OSO to create, approve, and manage web content and carry out other responsibilities to include the editing, formatting, and dissemination of Ginnie Mae's external web products and communications and is responsible for posting all Ginnie Mae communications to include MBS guidance, bulletins, press releases, reports, and images.
Maintain Ginnie Mae's online presence, editing and proofreading site content, maintaining site editorial standards and consistency, branding and style guides, and research and development to improve content distribution with SharePoint and other site developers.
Provide full life cycle web content management support and managing web content on a variety of SharePoint sites in coordination with leadership using content and document management systems. Meet with internal and external stakeholders to determine the project scope for website.
Oversee and maintain the content of Ginnie Mae's external website; reviewing, writing, editing, and posting content on internal and external SharePoint sites; checking and updating product sourcing; proposing and participating in enhancements to Ginnie Mae's website and employee intranet; collaborating on website and intranet design; and serving as an expert on the use of the web, and intranet.
Manage and provide oversight and implementation of Ginnie Mae's internal and external SharePoint sites which includes collections structure, site design and development, in collaboration with Ginnie Mae leadership, management and staff and vendor support teams.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Supporting an organizations web product development and web project management in SharePoint sites through the use of HTML and other programming languages, such as JavaScript or CSS; AND
- Planning, directing, and coordinating work of web project teams assigned to ensure that objectives are met, and a high degree of effectiveness is maintained; AND
- Researching and evaluating new and emerging methods for web product development and web project management; AND
- Supporting the management and operation of internal sites, including creating, assigning, and removing permissions for internal systems; creating custom forms; designing workflows; and training site users and staff on those internal systems.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
