About the Position: This position is located in the Department of Radiology at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) with the Defense Health Agency, Indo-Pacific Market, Hawaii Region. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. Tobacco products include, but are not limited to, smoking, smokeless tobacco, and electronic nicotine delivery devices.

Duties

Use computers for various applications, such as database management or word processing. Perform administrative tasks in support of the clinic day-to-day administrative operations to include scheduling patient appointments. Project organization requirements for office supplies, computes cost, and other in-house budget data. Determine the disposition of all inquiries made relative to the overall activities of the clinic. Track various administrative related deadlines and tasks for an office utilizing automated computer systems. Serve as the office timekeeper which includes inputting time and attendance, identifying payroll discrepancies, and reconciling timekeeping reports. Perform record keeping and data entry.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ClericalComputer SkillsCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical) Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
