About the Position: Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton is a large US Navy medical treatment facility in Oceanside, California, part of the United States' Military Health System. Located on Camp Pendleton in Camp Pendleton South, California in San Diego County.

Duties

Make recommendations applicable to workload collection methods and data integrity. Conduct management surveys and analyses, to include methods and procedures to produce reports. Maintains an awareness of all mission changes occurring within the MTF. Provide training and instruction to personnel engaged in the collection and maintenance of data. Work with appropriate personnel to correct identified deficiencies. Prepare briefings and management reports for the Commander and other hospital staff when required based on analysis data.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: business administration, finance, economics, statistics. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementOrganizational AwarenessPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
