Duties
This position require military membership in the Puerto Rico Army National Guard (PRARNG)

Requirements
- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.
- Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
- Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Continued employment in this position is contingent upon satisfactory completion of the mandatory training specifically identified for the position.
- Continued employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of the physical examination and periodic medical evaluation thereafter.
- Loss of military membership will result in immediate loss of your full-time military technician position.

- Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance within one year of employment.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
Qualifications
AREA OF CONSIDERATION:

Area 1 = All permanent Warrant Officers and Enlisted employee's members (NG T32/NG T5) within Puerto Rico Army National Guard.
Area 2 = All indefinite Warrant Officers and Enlisted employee's members (NG T32/NG T5) within Puerto Rico Army National Guard.
First round consideration will be given to Area 1 Candidates. (All other Areas will be screened only in the event that there are no qualified or recommended Candidates).
To prevent a grade inversion, military rank allowed for this position will be determined at the final evaluation of the vacancy announcement considering the military rank of the supervisor.

DUTIES:
As a IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/CUSTSPT) (D2726000), GS-2210-9, you will provide support to Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs to all state/territory activities/organizations and perform a wide range of specialized methods/techniques for planning; analyzing and identifying problems in order to develop and implement resolutions to administrative and systemic programs throughout the organization.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work is mostly sedentary; however physical exertion is periodically required, e.g., lifting 40 lbs., bending, stooping, or kneeling during equipment installation and repair.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a typical office environment. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

Experience administering, developing, delivering, and supporting information technology (IT) systems and services. Applicant must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Applicant must possess more than TWELVE (12) months at the next lower (GS-07) level or the equivalent TWENTY-FOUR (24) months of specialized experience performing or supervising duties such as managing projects and programs for systems integration of CSS automation; ensuring hardware and software functions, and meets operational standards; identifying and resolving complex tactical network-related problems; ensuring trouble reports are handled expeditiously; troubleshooting hardware, software, and LAN/Client operating system problems; ensuring software and vulnerability updates are applied; assisting functional users in automated CSS systems management and operation; providing input to supervisor; receiving trouble tickets and reviewing priorities; troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical problems identified; serving as the primary point of contact for Functional Administrators and users; performing tests; evaluating, determining, and initiating corrective actions; recovering or restoring data and returning the database(s) to operational status; providing direction and guidance to supported CSS automated logistics information system users; analyzing requirements, managing, and coordinating hardware for automated logistics information system and peripherals; installing, testing, and evaluating automated logistics information systems hardware; serving as the point of contact for the Sustainment Automation Support Management Office.
Note: Must complete appropriate training and obtain required certifications IAW DoDI 8140, DOD 8570.01M or applicable governing document(s) for Cyber workforce as an IA Management Level I within 6 months of employment pending training seat availability. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position.
Education
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in a college university, technical or vocational school may be substituted at the rate of one academic year of study (30 semester's hours or 20 classroom hours of instruction per week) for 6 months of specialized experience.
One full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement in a college university, technical or vocational school may be substituted at the rate of one academic year of study (30 semester's hours or 20 classroom hours of instruction per week) for 9 months of specialized experience.
A master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a college university, technical or vocational school may be substituted at the rate of one academic year of study (30 semester's hours or 20 classroom hours of instruction per week) for 24 months of specialized experience.
UNDERGRADUATE OR GRADUATE EDUCATION:
Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
