This position is open to Pathways Recent Graduates. This position performs limited financial analyses and advisory assignments related to the effectiveness of the Indian Self-Determination & Education Assistance Act (ISDEAA) Program. The target position is ISDEAA Financial Management Specialist, GS-501-12.
Duties
Most of the duties assigned are designed to train and orient the incumbent for the work described in the GS-12 position description. Special studies and analytical financial assignments are conventional in nature and are screened for complicating characteristics. Incumbent will work on issues and problems of a procedural nature such as: calculates simple contract support costs, reviews small contractor financial documents, audits, and indirect cost proposals for reasonableness and duplication of costs between program and indirect costs.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
For GS-7 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service (GS-5) obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: calculate support costs, review financial statements, and audit small clinics, OR, Superior Academic Achievement.
For GS-9 - Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service (GS-7) obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: calculate difficult contract support costs, review a variety of financial documents, and audit medium sized clinics, OR, a master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years (36 semester hours) of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B. or J.D., if related to the position.
