This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

VA Careers - Physical Therapy: https://youtube.com/embed/Gi2hoFqIoqY The Physical Therapist, Innovation Program Coordinator position serves as the Program Coordinator for the IDEAS Center within the Innovation service at CVHCS. The Innovation Program Coordinator plays a vital role in developing and coordinating innovation initiatives within IDEAS Center. The program coordinator is responsible for the alignment of the program with the strategic vision and goals of the innovation center as defined by the IDEAS Center director. The position reports to the IDEAS Center director. The position works closely with staff to build a culture of innovation to empower employees in action through training of innovation-related competencies. The position is responsible for building and strengthening the innovation program, this includes implementing and contributing to the programing, and partnerships of the IDEAS Center. This position will help in identifying promising methods and tools for delivering innovation, designing and testing various approaches and methodologies to determine what works to achieve innovation objectives, and institutionalizing best practices throughout the organization through training, technical assistance, knowledge sharing, and access to resources. Qualifications

Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. English Language: Proficiency. Individuals appointed under authority of 38 U.S.C. chapters 73 or 74, to serve in a direct patient-care capacity in VHA must be proficient in written and spoken English. See Chapter 2, section D, paragraph 5a, this part. Licensure: Individuals hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice physical therapy in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. Education and experience: The individual must meet at least one of the requirements below: (1) Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy AND five (5) years of progressively independent experience as a physical therapist. II-G12-2 FEBRUARY 7, 2018 VA HANDBOOK 5005/99 PART II APPENDIX G12 (2) Master's degree in Physical Therapy AND two (2) years of progressively independent experience as a physical therapist. (3) Doctorate degree in physical therapy. May qualify based on being covered by the Grandfathering Provision as described in the VA Qualification Standard for this occupation (only applicable to current VHA employees who are in this occupation and meet the criteria). Physical Requirements: The Innovation Program Coordinator may engage in the following activities/positions/tasks as defined: Lifting/carrying up to 45 lbs. intermittently, frequent walking, standing, sitting. Occasional stooping, kneeling, overhead reaching, fine manipulation, pushing, and/or pulling. In addition, occasional operation of a motor vehicle may be indicated. Grade Determinations: Completion of 1 year of experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level and directly related to the position being filed. The following KSAs are required: 1. Ability to apply advanced knowledge of contemporary physical therapy within specialty area to provide clinical guidance, training or education for internal and external stakeholders. 2. Ability to serve as a consultant within the assigned program area for intraagency and interagency planning and to provide service coordination to optimize program continuity, efficiency and effectiveness. 3. Knowledge of and skill in management, administration and/or education methodologies. This includes the ability to monitor and track data, utilize available resources effectively, evaluate program quality, and generate reports for local, and/or VISN and/or VACO leadership. 4. Ability to develop and coordinate treatment and/or educational programs within a concentrated field or specialty area, such as, but not limited to, amputee, spinal cord injury, chronic pain, student clinical education/residency programming, polytrauma/traumatic brain injury. 5. Ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships within department and with other departments or affiliated programs. 6. Ability to guide the work of a multi-disciplinary team. Preferred Experience: 1. Experience in administration is preferred. 2. Experience with development and/or administration of programs for, or provision of, innovation and/or assistive technology to persons with disabilities, their families, and service providers. 3. Knowledge, experience and understanding of the innovation theories and applications, VHA innovation and rehabilitation program policies, practices and procedures. The full performance level of this vacancy is GS-13.
