About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Office of the Chief of Staff of the Army, G-2 Counterintelligence, HUMINT, Security and Foreign Disclosure Directorate at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA.
Duties
Provides support and assistance to the Security Division in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-2.
Assists in developing, writing, coordinating, and approving Security policies, programs, operations, and initiatives.
Performs a variety of technical and administrative duties of significant complexity in support of security planning, programming, and policy development for the Security Division and senior security leadership.
Provides assistance with management analyst functions and in the oversight of worldwide Army Security programs.
Ensures that priority actions are properly staffed and executed throughout the Security Division.
Establishes and maintains senior leadership’s schedules, operating files, and records.
Supports management and/or program analytical functions of the Security Division.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two-year trial period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI).
- May require occasional Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) 10%.
