About the Position: Position is located at US Army Cadet Command, Headquarters G3, Fort Knox, KY
This is a Term Appointment not-to-exceed 3 years. It is time-limited and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years.
Duties
Serve as Plans and Operations Specialist for the Operations Chief with responsibility to provide analytical staff support to the management of Cadet Command training and operations programs.
Position requires in-depth working knowledge of the Cadet Summer Training (CST) process, as it pertains to Cadre and Cadet education and professional development.
Develop, edit, and contribute to operational and contingency plans.
Perform clerical and administrative duties in support of the operations chief including tabular data entry in a variety of electronic formats.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) may be required up to 25% of the time.
- Incumbent will be subject to temporary duty travel.
- Must be able to work weekends in support of training and briefings to Command and Staff.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1.) Conducting surveys or reviews of procedures,
developing recommendations that provide a method of accomplishing contingency planning and execution as well as supporting reserve component training, developing, and recommending policy 2.) Organizing and carrying out specific training programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations 3.) Analyzing effective support for the training program in support of cadet professional development. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which gave you the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this job. (Transcripts required)
