About the Position: This Supervisory Budget Analyst is located at White Sands Missile Range, Resource MGMT DIR with duty location of White Sands Missile Range, NM ATEC is participating in an alternative personnel system known as the Acquisition Workforce Demonstration Project. The pay band NH-03 is equal to the GS-12 step 01 through GS-13 step 10. This position is subject to the NH-03 salary control point; therefore, the salary will not exceed $134,435.00 with locality.

Duties

Interpret budgetary guidance/directives from higher authority to use in developing effective budget techniques. Resolve problems dealing with major reprogramming, forecasting, and uncertainty involving operating programs that are complex, extensive in scope, and entail multiple funding Serve as Branch Chief, Budget Division, Whites Sands Test Center (WSTC) and plans, directs, coordinates, and supervises the work of a group of Budget Analysts. Formulate, justify, present, execute, and review of the Mission budget for the U.S. Army White Sands Missile Range. Oversee the development of programs and budgets to controls/monitors the consolidation process Represent the organization in the preparation of proposed program and budget estimates in PRAC meetings

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Public Trust security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position requires you to travel from the duty station up to 25% of the time.
  • Certification level 2: This is a FINANCIAL Management Level 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012.
  • Supervisory Probation may be required.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget AdministrationBudget ExecutionTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
