You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT) in the FLEET READINESS CENTER SE, MRO PRODUCTION DEPT of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

You will maintain control for the manufacture, overhaul, or repair of products with numerous components or subassemblies You will evaluate workload requirements, master repair schedules, and available production resources to determine adjustments needed in schedules, workload priorities, completion dates, or allocation of material, machines, and man hours You will inform supervisor and team members of work progress or operating problems, actual, or potential delays as conflicts arise You will coordinate detailed work plans and schedules for the production of assigned workload You will use a standardized workload and resource forecasting process to calculate project needs related to manning, facilities, equipment, or tools

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: 1) Utilizing depot maintenance systems to establish workload priorities and monitor work progression to expedite the use of manpower, machines, and materials in support of production plans; 2) Ordering and monitoring material requisitions to ensure resources are available to support repair operations, adjusted schedules, and capacity requirements; 3) Monitoring work in progress to track status, resolve shortfalls and to ensure workload is equitable among team; and 4) Compiling production work data to analyze production operations to ensure designs, manufacturing, manpower, facilities, and all other aspects of aircraft maintenance are performed within schedule and budget requirements; 5) Evaluating performance data to determine if schedules are being followed, if they can be improved, and to determine the cause of production delays.
