You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (AIRCRAFT) in the MRO LOGISTICS DEPT, FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHEAST of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

You will collect and analyze financial and performance measurement control (PMC) data on assigned projects. You will assess employee work performance to determine if they are meeting established production performance objectives. You will facilitate conferences and workshops to identify, review, and document current proven practices for knowledge sharing network (KSN) process improvement. You will collaborate with managers to initiate plans or develop departmental policy for production and project planning. You will analyze production costs and manpower utilization data to observe trends in production time, costs, and efficiency. You will document and maintain configuration control processes, procedures, and materials manufactured for an organization.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • This position requires rotating shift work.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Fostering a positive safe work environment by ensuring all EEO principles are adhered to by subordinates, 2) Ensuring that program needs are met in compliance with both internal and external laws, regulations and policies, 3) Collaborating with a diverse work force to plan for the future or immediate production control of the overhaul and repair of military aircraft, 4) Executing, through subordinates, the Master Production Schedule in established time buckets based on a rolling horizon while ensuring known requirements (i.e., material, work center capacity, tooling, and manpower) are met, 5) Identifying production capacity shortfalls and overtime requirements, in association with Production Controllers in order to ensure MPS is successfully executed.
