This Supervisory Nurse (Inpatient) for Crow Service Unit is located in Crow Agency, MT. This position has full program responsibility for the Branch of Inpatient Nursing Department and is required to provide staffing coverage for nursing units when needed.
Duties
Provide direct supervision and effective leadership to assigned subordinates within the Branch of Inpatient Nursing Services.
Plan, set priorities, provide direction and maintain day to day responsibility of care, treatment and/or services provided.
Ensure compliance with established standards of care including safety, infection control, environmental, quality assurance and performance activities and other regulatory requirements applicable to all patient care areas.
Coordinate and develop nurse specific training to assist employees to improve and maintain competencies.
Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements, performance improvement/quality assurance, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-09) level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Provide guidance to nursing personnel of the inpatient unit; Review and/or revise policies and procedures; Manage special projects and staff schedule; Implement accreditation requirements; Develop and implement a plan of care for assigned patients based on the nursing process; Promote performance improvement, ensure compliance with standards of care including safety and infection control.
Time in Grade (Merit Promotion Candidates Only) Federal Employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements Merit Promotion (status) candidates must also have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP)
