As a Lead Realty Specialist, you will serve as a team leader and lease contracting officer personally handling the most complex real estate actions for the team and providing the full range of leading and mentoring to team members.
Location of position: This position is located in the Public Buildings Service, Leasing Division in Atlanta, GA and Ft. Lauderdale, FL.We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
The duty location of this position is in the Public Buildings Service (PBS) Leasing Division in Atlanta, GA and Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The incumbent will be expected to report to a designated GSA facility at least 2x per pay period.
Requirements
- US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
- Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
- Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable
- Register with Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $109,278 for Atlanta, GA and $110,137 for Ft. Lauderdale per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as providing advice and technical guidance in the areas of space acquisition and management, reviewing space requests and needs, developing housing strategies for customers, planning, coordinating, and managing lease construction projects and negotiating lease terms for lease acquisition projects, coordinating and overseeing space design, layout and alteration for post-occupancy, developing rent projects, and resolving complicated problems and controversial issues related to real estate. Experience must also demonstrate the ability to accomplish work through others as a lead member of a team.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR (SPF): In addition to the qualification requirements listed above, you must also meet the following SPF, which has been identified as: required to be a contracting officer who must be fully warranted for a senior warrant.
