Duties
As a/an Senior Business Analyst, you will:
Compile and analyze data obtained from Ginnie Mae's systems and external sources and organize and present in a manner that is consistent and relevant across the spectrum on internal and external consumers of the data.
Provide guidance and analysis relating to residential finance.
Design, document, develop, modify, test, and support new or existing Ginnie Mae software applications; and prepare the integration of sponsor customer requirements of projects, IT budgets, and schedules, assuring that Ginnie Mae's commitments to the sponsor customer are met.
Interact with contractors consistent with the framework set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: Specialized experience for the GS-14 grade level is defined as at least one year of experience at the GS-13 grade level, or equivalent, which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience in ALL of the following:
- Working with mortgage backed securities including mortgage origination, servicing, loan securitization, and the secondary mortgage market; AND
- Conducting business analyses to identify alternative approaches to implementing new programs, products, and identifying enhancements to existing business processes; AND
- Preparing recommendations to senior management as to best implementation approach.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
