The incumbent will be required to perform functions and duties in direct support of the Administrative Officer as well as specialized support for the Administration Division. The assigned duties of this position cross multiple disciplines, requiring a wide range of knowledge and skills in order to support the various elements of our operations to include administrative management work, with principal responsibilities in the administrative, personnel and property functions.
Duties
Perform functions and duties in direct support of the Administrative Officer to support the overall operations of the park.
Responsible for a broad range of administrative management work with principal responsibilities within administration, personnel, and property functions.
Provides accurate and reliable information on all administrative functions. Interacts with managers, supervisors and staff members related to administrative services by attending meetings and/or serving on appropriate work teams/groups.
Responsible for credit card transactions; serving as the parks' administrative of purchase cards (A/OPC), assisting with audits.
Utilizes rules and procedures for recruiting to design and change positions to meet specific operational and staffing goals.
LESS THAN FPL Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
Telework: The National Park Service has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.
Qualifications
All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-04/12/2024-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement.
Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. For current Federal employees, if hours worked per week are not included on your resume, you must submit a non-award SF-50 as part of your application to be used to validate your work schedule and determine the amount of specialized experience that you will be granted. An award SF-50 will not be acceptable documentation for which to consider your amount of qualifying experience. For all other applicants who are not current federal employees, your resume must state either "full-time" (or "40 hours a week") or "part-time" with the number of hours worked per week to ensure proper crediting of specialized experience.
For periods of time that reflect military service, the DD-214 or Statement of Service is sufficient to meet the full and/or part-time hours requirement as the service dates will be reflected.
To qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience may include all of the following or similar job tasks: Providing a wide variety of administrative services to enable efficient operation of a business or program office; serving as a front line representative in a business organization to answer phone calls, greet internal and external customers; processing time and attendance records with accuracy; processing travel authorizations and travel vouchers; maintaining filing system of all incoming and outgoing correspondence and reviewing written correspondence. Experience with management of personal property and a business level purchase card program to make purchases within established business rules. You must include hours per week worked.

EDUCATION: Have successfully completed at least one full year of graduate level education (education must be in a field that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position); OR I have superior academic achievement in a bachelor's degree program. You must include a copy of your transcript(s).

COMBINATION: Have successfully completed a combination of education and experience as described above. For example: 6 months of specialized experience as described above (50% of experience requirement) may be combined with one-half year (9 semester hours) of graduate level college study (50% of education requirement). Add the percentages together. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. You must include transcript(s).
To qualify for this position at the GS-09 grade level, you must possess at least one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience may include all of the following or similar job tasks: Providing general administrative services demonstrating the ability to analyze problems, identify contributing factors, gathering data and recommend solutions; analyzing work functions and processes to identify and drive process improvements; serving as a front line representative to answer phone calls, greet internal and external customers and create solutions or vector the appropriate referral; processing time and attendance records with accuracy; processing travel authorizations and travel vouchers; maintaining filing system of all incoming and outgoing correspondence and reviewing written correspondence. Experience with management of personal property and maintaining a personal property inventory system of records. Experience managing purchase card programs and making purchases within established business rules. Experience and strong interpersonal skills to advise staff and Division Chiefs on administrative functions to ensure accurate and timely business operations. You must include hours per week worked.

EDUCATION: Have successfully completed a master's OR equivalent graduate degree OR at least two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related (education must be in a field that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position). COMBINATION: Successfully completed a combination of education and experience as described above. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

accredited institution with your name, school name, credit hours, course level, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking. Transcripts do not need to be official, but if you are selected for this position and you used your education to qualify, you must provide official transcripts before you begin work.
