You will serve as the Command Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO) in the Technical Director Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV, located in Corona, CA.

Duties

You will serve as the technical expert for the Command's Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) program. You will administer the SCI security program and ensure proper compliance of all Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) for the Command. You will effectively communicate requirements for external support to SCIF operations such as security response force, emergency planning, communication networks, and other infrastructure matters that may affect SCIF operations. You will validate SCI access and the need to know for individual (military, civilian Government employee, and contractor). You will ensure SCI is properly accounted for, controlled, transmitted, transported, packaged, and safeguarded. You will maintain applicable SCI directives, regulations, manuals, and guidelines to adequately discharge SIO duties and responsibilities. You will ensure proper protection, use, and dissemination of SCI documents and material by enforcing SCI, information, personnel, physical, communications, industrial, and Informational Assurance (IA) security rules. You will ensure and oversee Command Special Security Officer (SSO) personnel for SCIFs at NSWC Corona and its remote sites.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing or providing oversight for security programs to ensure compliance with security regulations, policies, and procedures as it relates to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
