This position is located at US Mint,Headquarters-Office of the Director/SALES DIV. As a SUPERVISORY MARKETING SPECIALIST (KEY ACCOUNTS BRANCH CHIEF), you will be responsible for maximizing profitability and growth for all numismatic, commemorative and bullion coin products; supports the development and execution of a new potential product development ideas, supports development and execution of U.S. Marketing plans, customer maintenance and acquisition plans.

Duties

As a SUPERVISORY MARKETING SPECIALIST (KEY ACCOUNTS BRANCH CHIEF), you will: Maximize Mint numismatic and bullion and bulk profitability and revenue, consistent with existing enabling legislation, by managing the development, maintenance, and execution of product and marketing plans, branch SOPs, AP network and APBB network, and programs for all bullion and numismatic items for a wide variety of retail and B2B consumers. Provide technical oversight and guidance over the product life cycle for precious metal bullion coin and numismatic coin programs, monitors performance and return on investment (ROI) of product sales, new products life cycle; plans, develops and directs strategic marketing plans for products annually; monitors product performances for sales, profitability, etc.; develops and implements plans to create competitive positioning for products with program managers; coordinates the development of pricing structures for numismatic products. Evaluate variables, including product, pricing, packaging, promotion, placement, demographics, economic factors, market (including size and location of markets, number of potential customers, and consumer behavior) to ensure success.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience for the GS-14 is defined as one year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: -Managing financial investment and/or collective product line (ie; coins/collectibles/precious metals); AND -Managing business to business (B2B) relationships with key account customers including recipient organizations and members; AND -Analyzing, measuring and tracking agency program performance and effectiveness in the financial/collectible (ie; coins/collectibles/precious metals) markets. Examples of these that follow: -Ability to interpret complex financial data, market trends, geopolitical events and other influencers of precious metal prices to make informed decisions -Ability to employ risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses -Understand and use tools such as stop-loss orders and hedging techniques -Lead team members to act as a facilitator, connecting buyers and sellers in a specialized market -Build and maintain strong relationships with high maintenance investors -Respond to the unique needs of investors, provide tailored solutions and personalized service -Train or identify training that will teach team members on understanding of financial markets, economic principles, and monetary policies -Manage complex financial data and make informed decisions -Adapt to evolving situations, making quick decisions to capitalize on opportunities and minimize risks In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.
