About the Position: Located within the Director of Admin/Patient Administration Uniform Business Office within Eisenhower Army Medical Center Fort Eisenhower, GA This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

Performs personnel management functions. Oversee Third Party collections Program (TPCP). Direct program operations involved in processing claims and bills for TPCP. Develop policies and procedures that will improve efficiency and enhance collections. Review insurance payments; sends questionable payments/denials back to insurance companies for reconsideration of additional reimbursement. Analyzes inpatient/outpatient TPCP billing documents for completeness and accuracy and verifies specific charges under. Provides general administrative / technical management of cash controls, account auditing, verification of cash collection vouchers, refunds. Utilize computer knowledge of hardware (i.e. servers, printers, monitors, hard-drive, etc.) and software, along with networking to ensure continuous electronic billing and interface with other medical information data systems.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
  • Possess Financial Management Level 1 Certified designated in accordance with the (NDAA) incumbent required to comply DOD/ DOA requirements of this cert program.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG).

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education/experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes working with patients or insurance companies regarding billings or payments; documenting transactions, and ensuring records have adequate audit trails; identifying discrepancies to provide solutions; and working with automated healthcare or financial systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-6). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
