This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, (NARA), National Personnel Records Center (NPRC). This position serves as a Management Assistant on the Finance Team, assisting with a wide variety of program management activities associated with the Federal Records Center Revolving Fund Program.
Duties
As a MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ASSISTANT, you will:
Provide direct support to management and program analysts, program managers, and/or NPRC branch offices.
Perform a variety of administrative support tasks to include data collection and preparing a variety of correspondence, forms and reports, such as staffing plans, awards, procurement reconciliations, postage usage, etc.
Perform quality review of time and attendance using systems such as QuickTime and ARICS. Enter and monitor Management System Staff personnel actions using FPPS, WTTS and Portal 63.
Serve as an administrator for USA Performance (USAP) updating employee profiles in accordance with FPPS changes for NPRC Staff.
Serve as NPRC's travel administrator, responsible for coordinating travel arrangements for NPRC staff.
Become knowledgeable with operating procedures in the Records Center and organizational alignment at NPRC.
Review resources (funding, labor, equipment) expended, and milestones met throughout the program segments/projects.
Participate in preparing reports or formal submissions that address recurring problems or issues causing significant delays or increased costs, the corrective actions needed or taken, and the need for additional time or resources.
Apply a variety of data-gathering and analysis techniques such as surveys and interviews, in order to develop solutions to problems which promote more efficient utilization of resources and more efficient organizational patterns and structures.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-07, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Creating work products using desktop software such as the Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
AND
Assisting in fact-finding for projects that involve researching, gathering, assembling or analyzing a variety of data and information.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-07, you must have been at the GS-06level for 52 weeks.
