You will serve as an Electronic industrial control mechanic in the industrial operations group and industrial production support department in the industrial plant maintenance division of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST. This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

You will maintain and repair state-of-the art industrial electronically controlled multi-integrated systems. You will advise engineering personnel on proposed system upgrades and or modifications. You will assist in the acceptance or rejection of new systems introduced into the Depot. You will develop techniques to effectively approach system malfunctions.

Requirements

Qualifications

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to perform common tasks including: 1) Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing integrated systems associated with Industrial Plant Equipment; 2) Modifying and maintaining electronic equipment such as Automatic Test Equipment and Computer Numerical Controlled Machining Systems; 3) Providing recommendations to Engineering and production personnel regarding equipment procurement and modifications to existing equipment; 4) Interpreting flowcharts and schematics to adapt maintenance and repair techniques to newly modified systems with unusual circuitry. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.
