About the Position: This position uses a thorough knowledge of supply regulations and policies to perform continuing assignments encompassing a variety of problem situations with considerable independence.

Duties

Enter various data elements into multiple databases and programs. Conduct extensive searches for information pertaining to complex or unusual Class V and ammunition supply transactions and patterns. Assemble retrieved data and information into different formats to meet various requirements, such as program reviews, status reports, end-user and customer needs. Determine ammunition stock levels needed for non-recurring, based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs and projected depletions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position may require overtime work.
  • This position requires incumbent to work under adverse environmental conditions.
  • This position requires you to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position is a Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as Lautenberg Amendment. This act bans individuals convicted of misdemeanor domestic violence and certain others from possession or access to firearms or ammunition.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. At GS-5 Level Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes; Experience utilizing automated systems to run reports, update records, or process various documents; Experience maintaining database information; Experience scanning and filing documents for future reference; or Experience researching regulations to determine compliance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. At GS-6 Level Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes; Experience applying supply regulations, policies and procedures; Experience receiving, storing, issuing and shipping supplies; Experience utilizing data entry procedures; and Experience maintaining alphabetical, numerical and chronological office files and records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in any major field of study which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. At GS-7 Level Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes; Experience interpreting and applying supply regulations, policies, procedures and instructions; Experience researching files and databases to identify problem areas and correct data errors in the automated supply system; Experience reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and Experience compiling and analyzing supply information and data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in any major field of study which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. GS-06: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05). GS-07: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
