You will serve as a SUPERVISORY TRANSPORTATION SPECIALIST in the PUBLIC WORKS TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.

Duties

You will supervise individuals who perform transportation work in support of the organization's fleet management program. You will implement, and monitor NAVFAC Washington transportation policy, directives and instructions relative to transportation operations, maintenance, management, and administration. You will direct work priority for subordinate staff regional transportation requirements. You will ensure funding is received for all class “B’ rentals. You will liaison between all tenant activities employees at all tenant activities for all transportation matters relative to transportation requirements, maintenance, and credit card usage.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

  • Must receive certification as a Certified Federal Fleet Specialist (CFFS) within 3 years of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Implementing and monitoring transportation policy, directives, and instructions relative to transportation operations, maintenance, management, and administration; 2) Managing the day to day operations Civil Engineering Support Equipment (CESE) inventory; 3) Utilizing Fleet Management Information Systems (FMIS), such as Maximo to schedule operations, dispatch vehicles and create labor work orders; 4) Serving as liaison for all transportation matters relative to transportation requirements, maintenance, and credit card usage; 5) Planning, coordinating, assigning, and directing the work of subordinates. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree;

OR

Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree;

OR
