You will serve as an Emergency Management Specialist in the Plans and Operations Division of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION, NEW RIVER.

Duties

You will be responsible for providing comprehensive planning and support for all-hazard training and exercise programs. You will perform training needs analysis, recommends training, develops the Emergency Management/Installation Protection Training and Exercise Employment Plan, and instruct Emergency Management and Incident Command System training. You will plan, direct, and coordinate the execution and support of exercises and training to facilitate the execution of the installation Incident Action Plan, Response, and Emergency Action Plans. You will ensure Exercise Planning Team members are briefed and clearly understand all elements of the exercise to be conducted.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, coordinating, or executing all-hazards and natural disaster training and exercises with and for staff; 2) Coordinating exercises with emergency response agencies; and 3) Developing training, exercise, and briefing materials for emergency management. Education

in lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
