You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST in the Training Command of Training and Education Command of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND.

Duties

You will manage the administrative activities of the Supply Branch Customer Service, Initial Issue Provisioning program, GCSS-MC User Accounts, and Garrison Property Inventory Management. You will oversee the daily operations of supplies and services to provide direct supply support to supported customers. You will utilize trends in supply activity, sources of supply, and other management tools to determine supply levels and manage transactions initiated by subordinate personnel. You will establish and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for materiel and inventory management functions throughout the section. You will investigate and evaluate input/output errors, determining through exhaustive research the cause and issues of errors. You will instruct employees in specific tasks and job techniques and make available written instructions, reference materials, and supplies. You will review, analyze and assist in implementing changes/modifications to formulate and develop internal policies, principles, and procedures necessary for implementing supply objectives. You will performs supervisor duties in planning and assigning work, keeping in touch with status and progress of work, setting and adjusting short-term priorities, and prepare schedules.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • The incumbent must be able to become Network+ certified within six months of accepting the position.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the followingProviding operational support to a Supply Branch at a Supply System Account Manager level by applying functional, analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to identify and resolve issues and/or conduct studies on supply program operations; AND utilizing automated systems such as Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS). Education

In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify for the GS-11 position based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows:
Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.

OR

OR

Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Your percentage of the required education plus your percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
