This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing DHA for DIB & MRTFB to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Provides team lead duties for the material management functional areas of the Operations Division with Crane Army Ammunition Activity (CAAA).
Duties
Plans, directs, and organizes the operations of the area including intra-activity distribution of conventional ammunition and components and all off station shipments and transfers in wholesale accounts.
Provides direct guidance and technical advice to personnel in the shipment of munitions and related items.
Develops, adapts, and interprets operating methods and procedures and provides on-the-job training and technical advice to subordinate personnel.
Research requisition problems and ensures ammunition quality assurance support requirements are followed.
Interprets policy direction for specific operating requirements and has full responsibility for overseeing the complete processing of shipments and receipt of all ammunition and related items, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
- This position requires a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles, or must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain installation driving privileges.
- The duties of this position require occasional temporary duty (TDY) travel.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. General Experience: Three years of progressively responsible general work experience with one year of that experience equivalent to at least the NH-01 pay band, which includes assisting in the processing of all outbound delivery orders (DOs); identifying and recommending ways to resolve documentation issues relative to material inventory availability; and experience working with inventory management systems to document the flow, schedules, and sales orders of shipments.

Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.
