About the Position: Serves as the Policy and Initiatives Analyst with the Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA), Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-9, R2I and Training Division located in Arlington, Virigina.
A relocation incentive may be authorized subject to provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations.
Duties
Responsible for research, data analysis, review and gathering of data regarding a Ready and Resilient Army.
Develop monitoring plan to improve the effectiveness of initiatives that reduce harmful behaviors to ensure measurable outcomes are aligned with goals.
Ensure valid analysis and interpretation of collected data by using appropriate tools, methodologies, and techniques required to perform assigned policy analysis.
Developing information explaining organizational policy and viewpoint on assigned program areas.

- SECRET CLEARANCE - You must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with conducting studies of complex functions and processes; evaluating policy development to prepare information papers for senior leaders; assisting with assessing policy effectiveness proposals for the organization's goals and objectives; and providing best business practices to inform future policy decisions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
