Serves as Business Operations Manager for the Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity (ODEO). Responsible for providing leadership for a broad spectrum of strategic, management and business operations activities, strategic planning, policy analysis, integration, operations, and task management. Develop/use an understanding of ODEO's strategy, business operations, and portfolio for coordination and prioritization of schedules, events, and actions to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
Duties
Analyzes and directs internal operation for all business functions of ODEO and integration into NASA, MSD’s strategic and business operations efforts.
Directs the work of others in the analysis and direction of internal operations.
Coordinates strategic planning with regards to program development.
Develops and/or assists with program and/or management assessments ensuring programmatic and/or management goals are well documented.
Provides and coordinates authoritative review and ensures effective and timely completion of a variety of organizational activities and products, including but not limited to, policies, presentations, and reports.
Provides communications, media, legislative, and operations expertise in support of NASA’s mission in coordination with Mission offices.
Develops, edits and delivers briefings, project papers, status/staff reports, and correspondence to managers to foster understanding and acceptance of findings and recommendations.
Performs a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.

Requirements
- Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
Supporting leadership and direction of others in execution of program management, and business operations;
Conceiving, planning, and managing entire business functions for broad, emerging, and critical agency management programs.
Serving as an expert and consultant to top management officials by providing advice on integrating the administrative function with a program and advises other management experts on issues that involve applying methods and procedures developed by the employee.
