About the Position: This position is located at the DPTMS at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri. Ft. Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. It covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, Missouri.

Duties

Repair and modify to scale and full-sized models or mock-ups of equipment, weapons or other devices to be used as training aids. Replace defective transformers, switches, relays, circuits, choke coils, capacitors, resistors, cannon plugs, junction blocks, wires, potentiometers, etc. Diagnose malfunction of digital control units, solid state control systems, drive units, powered amplifier etc. Schedule and conduct maintenance in accordance with established procedures. Assist exhibits maker in planning, lay-out, fabrication and assembly of parts. Operate and maintain industrial wood working equipment. Operate a forklift. Operate a steel fabrication machinery.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent is subject to a pre-employment medical clearance examination. This position may require an annual physical or medical surveillance examination.
  • This position requires the employee drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver's license is required and must be maintained for the position.
  • Incumbent will be required to pass and maintain forklift operator certification.
  • Position requires employee to wear protective equipment and clothing.
