The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a focal point for Organizational Health and Development duties to optimize organizational and business practices in support of the organization mission and workforce.
Duties
Performs selected tasks and phases of routine studies and projects that require application of basic occupational field theory and principles in the technical area of Management and Program Analysis.
Participates with Senior Personnel in conducting non-routine projects and the planning, monitoring, and conducting special studies, projects and initiatives such as, enterprise-wide initiatives.
Under the direction of senior personnel, provides advisory and support services to managers, supervisors and employees on employee development programs.
Uses multiple office automation software (i.e. word processing, existing databases/spreadsheets, graphics) with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents, formats, etc.
Independently carries out assignments in accordance with instructions and standard procedures.
Requirements
- Must meet suitability requirements for Federal employment
- Must be enrolled at least half-time as defined by the education institution (typically six semester hours or equivalent for undergraduate and three semester hours or equivalent for graduate students)

- Must be a student currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited academic institution
- Must maintain good academic standing, a 3.0 GPA for graduate programs on a 4.0 scale
- Must sign a Pathways Internship Program Participant Agreement; furnish course registration information at the start of each school term; and provide verification of academic status (transcript) at the end of each academic term

- U.S. citizenship is required for a noncompetitive conversion to a permanent or term appointment with the Department of the Air Force.

Qualifications

The individual selected for this position may be considered for promotion to a higher grade without further competition upon meeting all legal and regulatory/program requirements.
DO-0399-01, Pathways Intern STUDENT TRAINEE (MANAGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYSIS) encompasses a pay range equivalent to the GS-07 through GS-11. Qualifications for pay setting purposes will be based on the applicants' current academic level as described below:
For GS-07 equivalent: Completion of 1 academic year of graduate level education, bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement
For GS-09 equivalent: Completion of 2 academic years of graduate level education.
For GS-11 equivalent: For research positions completion of all requirements for a master's or equivalent degree
NOTE: Superior Academic Achievement is defined as and based on the following:
Class Standing in the upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision based on completed courses.
Grade Point Average
3.0 or higher out of possible 4.0 based on 4 years of education or based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum.
3.5 of higher out of possible 4.0 based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum. (Grade point averages are to be rounded to one decimal place and should be credited in a manner that is most beneficial to the applicant.
