This position is located in Division of Land & Resources, Lands & Realty Branch in the New Mexico State Office or the Albuquerque District Office.
Duties
Leads, manages, and coordinates a wide variety of complex projects including actions including but not limited to, Renewable Energy, Major Rights-of-Way, Land tenure adjustment, and Minerals actions.
Coordinates actions with management and senior specialists.
Develops schedules which efficiently plan for and control project activities, and determines the objectives and measures upon which projects will be evaluated.
Ensures work performed by project staff is in accordance with all appropriate laws, regulations, and policies.
Ensures that execution of the work is done according to the approved project plan.
Expends project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures and ensures all financial records for the project are up to date.

- You cannot hold an active real estate license, nor can you have an interest or hold stocks in firms with interest in Federal Lands.
- If you are a new employee in the Federal government, you will be required to complete a one-year probationary period.
- This is a bargaining unit position represented by the National Treasury Employees Union Chapter 340
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying:
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing the following:
(1) using project management techniques on complex and/or controversial projects relating to land use, including leading interdisciplinary teams for compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and policies ((i.e., National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA)); (2) effectively communicating orally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders regarding complex or controversial projects; (3) monitoring, recommending, and approving budgeted project expenditures according to established accounting policies and procedures.
TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted)
