You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST of NSA ANNAPOLIS.

Duties

You will analyze data on work operations, mishaps, and safety practices to prepare reports of findings that propose corrective measures for unsafe conditions and hazardous work practices. You will maintain the safety of employees using knowledge of occupational safety and health policies, directives, regulations, protocols and requirements. You will engage in technical reviews or support to complete system safety hazard analyses.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing Safety and Occupational Health management procedures, policies, techniques, and regulations to provide effective management; 2) Administering a comprehensive Safety and Occupational Health Safety Management System associated with programs involving hazard identification and reporting, worksite analysis, worksite inspection, hazard abatement, mishap investigation and recordkeeping, training, storage and transportation, materials handling, construction, and similar operations; 3) Promoting safe and sound working practices/procedures essential to the success of an efficient and safe work environment; and 4) Advising senior management on courses of action affecting facility operations, work processes, and environmental conditions which may impact the safety and health of personnel.
