Serves as an Aviation Safety Assistant (Office Automation) (OA) in a Certificate Management Office (CMO). Provides administrative, semi-technical, and clerical related support to the supervisor, or manager, Aviation Safety Inspectors (ASIs), and Administrative Officer. Utilizes tools relevant to the Safety Assurance System environment which includes obtaining background data, preparing reports, reviewing applications, interviewing applicants, processing certificates and maintaining files.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents)
  • Ingrade/downgrade applications will be accepted.
  • Must type 40 wpm based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.

Qualifications

To qualify for the FG-06 position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent FG/GS-05/FV-C. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes: Variety of administrative functions such as creating and maintaining a file management system for administrative and technical files, conducting interviews, preparing clear concise reports, researching, writing and typing non-technical and technical correspondence, and using automated systems for data entry.To qualify for the FG-07 position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent FG/GS-06/FV-D. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
