Qualifications

Skills and KnowledgeTwo years experience that demonstrates knowledge in the applicable combination of trades sufficient to perform the duties of the position. Must possess a valid California Driver's License. Will receive HAZCOM Training (Right-to-Know) before being exposed to any hazardous materials. Will be trained and fitted to wear "Personal Protective Equipment" (PPE) to protect from serious workplace injuries or illnesses resulting from contact with any workplace hazards. ResponsibilityWorks under general supervision. The majority of the work is performed independently where the incumbent makes decisions based on personal knowledge.Physical EffortRequires prolonged standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Lifts, carries and sets up materials and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.  Occasionally may handle materials and equipment weighing 50 lbs. and over.Working ConditionsWork is performed both inside and outside where incumbent may be exposed to: loud noises; flying fragments; dusts and dirt; chemicals and chemical vapors; fumes and gases.
