About the Position: This position is with Department of Family Medicine, Primary Care, Primary duties will be at Clark Health Clinic on Fort Liberty, NC. It is an outpatient clinic providing care for active-duty service members, retirees and their family members.
Work Hours: 1st shift between the hours of 0630 and 1700.

Duties
Schedule, cancel, and reschedule appointments for patients.
Manage patient enrollment and overseeing clinic enrollment to ensure accuracy.
Complete tasks for payroll and other human resource functions for employees.
Monitor expenses as reported by individual clinics/sections to keep abreast of expenditures accountable to the department.
Assign and review employee work, establishing performance standards, approving or disapproving leave, and counseling employees.
Collect, review, analyze information and data and make recommendations to optimize manpower and budget.
Provide management of resources and administrative support to the assigned area.
Create reports, chart, staff studies, and executive summaries to present/brief study findings.
Accurately records, populates and analyzes metrics for quality control and Access to Care.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience and/or education requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with the coordination and evaluation of the healthcare delivery processes within a medical treatment facility or clinic; analyzing the cost effectiveness of personnel and/or service contract used in the healthcare delivery process for trends, deviations, or improvements; utilizing automated healthcare delivery and office automation systems to enter and retrieve data for reports; and/or assisting with the workload distribution among subordinates.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
