You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT) of COMNAVREG MIDLANT NORFOLK.

Duties

You will author and distribute training manuals. You will provide oversight and management of the region N6 loaner laptop program ensuring all computers contain most recent software updates. You will be responsible for establishing Regional personal property and equipment records for N6 HQ You will implement security measures and oversight for Region Webpart locations on SharePoint Online. You will provide government management of NMCI tech refresh process to ensure contract terms are followed and customer service interruptions are minimized.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS--11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serves as the Regional Portal Manager (RPM) supporting all region Commanding Officers, Program Directors and Special Assistants to troubleshoot and resolve Portal access and organization issues 2) Provide high level training, designing of WebParts (templates) via SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate applications 3) Authors and distributes training manuals and Standard Operating Procedures for individuals and group SharePoint Portal Content Managers (CM) and new users 4) Enforces and ensures Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Navy (DoN), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), O365 Cloud Services, and Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) guidelines are followed and monitors activity of Region SharePoint Portal users to ensure proper security is being practiced and adhered to 5) Provides oversight and management of the Region N6 NMCI loaner laptop program ensuring all computers contain BitLocker, updated antivirus protection and contain the most recent software updates necessary to meet DoD Information Assurance (IA) compliance 6) Serves as Region Assistant CTR to coordinate command specific Network/Communication requirements with the NMCI/NGEN vendor.
