Performs a variety of duties in support of the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Fitness Center to include coordination of group exercises.

Duties

Plans, organizes, and conducts a physical fitness program that provides conditioning programs for authorized patrons. Leads group exercises similar to, but not limited to Zumba, Cycling, Kickboxing, HIIT, Step, etc. Instructs individuals and groups in the proper implementation and maintenance of conditioning and training programs for aerobic fitness, muscular fitness, body composition, and flexibility training. Conducts micro-fit testing, which includes measuring individuals aerobic capacities, their body fat percentage, recommended height/weight ratios, strength, flexibility, muscular endurance and blood pressure. Works with various command representatives in developing and implementing physical fitness programs for military personnel. Instructs patrons on the proper use of all equipment for training and self-monitored progress by preparing written instruction and procedures for the performance of work, use of equipment, safety and well-being of all involved. Trains and leads other employees in various recreation/physical fitness-related positions. Ensure all safety measures are observed. Performs other duties as assigned as they pertains to the duties of this position.

• Must pass all applicable records and background check.

(NASM, ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NSCA, NCSF, NESTA, NETA, NCCPT, etc...) Ideal candidate will posses experience leading group exercise classes similar to but not limited to Zumba, Cycling, Kickboxing, HIIT, Step, etc...) You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
