This position is located within the Division of Risk Management Supervision (RMS), Office of the Director and is responsible for providing direction and coordination across organizational lines as well as acting as a spokesperson for the Director.

Duties
Performs the broadest and most significant types of managerial and technical assignments embracing all areas of RMS activities; responsible for researching and suggesting solutions to technical issues, procedural and administrative problems involving supervision activities that require the personal attention of the Director; prepares necessary directives; and performs assignments related to the broad program areas and developmental activities requiring top-level consideration.
Provides the Director with expert assistance and advice on technical issues, administrative, and bank supervision issues and procedures and prepares memoranda or other issuance stating the Division’s position.
Represents the Division in matters pertaining to interagency policy issues and advises other financial regulatory agencies regarding Corporation policy.
In cooperation with responsible Corporation representatives, coordinates development of various programs in RMS. Initiates, plans and conducts highly complex studies to evaluate the desirability, budgets and costs of existing and proposed plans, policies, organizations and program objectives.
Coordinates and manages integrated projects involving the responsibilities of the program areas within RMS; presents to the Director and other senior Corporation officials recommended and alternative solutions to specific problems. Represents the Director in top-level studies and projects crossing organizational lines.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG-14 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as:
Researching and recommending solutions to technical, procedural, and administrative problems involving supervision activities across divisional lines at the regional and headquarters level. Supervision activities may be defined as work involving examinations, applications, enforcement, resolution planning, and/or policy matters.
Must be a commissioned examiner.
