About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Lead Accountant for the Resources and Analysis Directorate in the Financial Management and Comptroller Division in Miami, Florida.

Duties

Conduct formal joint review(s) for analyses with budget analysts to determine status of funds. Identify the effectiveness and/or efficiency of accounting operations throughout the organization. Assign work based on priority to ensure organizational deadlines are met. Generate reports using multiple financial web based applications to compare historical funding information to current financial situations. Audit financial transactions to ensure compliance with regulatory policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Review organizational performance assessments to provide recommendations for improvement. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12 or above).
