About the Position: This position is located at Fort Riley, Kansas.
Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
Duties
Provide supply operations support for clinics concerning all areas of logistics, to include specialized supplies, equipment and items, which require special shipment and storage.
Utilize automated databases such as IFICS, TAMMIS, SAACONS to input/retrieve data related to purchasing and contracting, budget issues, stockage of items and status of orders.
Maintain all required files and records for each card issued including one for Dental Prime Vendor (DPV) orders only, one for all other medical, non-medical and service requirements.
Maintain document registers and supporting documents for expendable, non-expendable and precious metal bearing items.
Review all orders placed on credit cards, verify timely reconciliation of account statements and review statements to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with contracting guidelines.
Review requests for funds, review expenditures for validity, allocate funds as appropriate, track funds and keep Commander informed of budget status.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- A pre-placement medical examination may be required.
- Moderate to heavy lifting up to 40 pounds may be required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid stateside driver's license.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing an automated supply system software, monitoring the departments supply budget, and managing financial documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
