Duties

Review work layout to assign required machine tools. Utilize handbook formulas in establishing needed dimensions. Ensure lower graded employees use the proper tools for each work procedures. Set up machines for assigned work task Review the initial serviceability for gasoline, multi-fuel engines, and diesel engines to combat powered equipment

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
• Time Limited Detail NTE may be made or extended at management discretion.
• Temporary promotion may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years and can be made permanent without further competition.

I have the ability to perform the common Lead Automotive Machinist duties which includes interpret guides such as plans and blueprints, demonstrate proper work methods, and providing information to supervisor on progress of work.
