You will serve as a UTILITY SYSTEMS REPAIRER-OPERATOR SUPERVISOR in the PUBLIC WORKS UTILITIES ENVIRONMENTAL MAINTENANCE DIVISION of NAVFAC NORTHWEST.
Duties
You will establish work priorities (e.g., deadlines, work sequence, work assignments) for utility system work.
You will exercise supervisory authorities in compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies within an organization.
You will prepare guidance, instructions and operating procedures designed to improve operational efficiencies within the branch.
You will keep supervisor informed concerning work progress, technical and personnel problems, material and manpower requirements.
You will maintain safety tag-out log, nuclear hold tag log, and caution tag logs, ensuring safety and environmental rules and policies are followed..
You will direct and coordinate emergency response actions from the Operations center or on-scene as the situation dictates.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You may be required to carry a portable radio or pager and maintain contact with supervisor or customer service center at all times.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Call back and emergency overtime are regular requirements of this position.
- You may be assigned to any basic work week or shift hours, including alternating shifts.
- The position requires irregular hours.
