Duties
You will be serve as the lead for all issues related to amphibious ship maintenance and modernization programming in support of U.S. Navy ships.
You will validate and assess the ship maintenance and modernization requirements as submitted by the Commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command and Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA)
You will perform cost/benefit and economic analysis of amphibious ship modernization.
You will prepare individual program briefs, reports, documents, presentations and draft portfolio resourcing plans for all modernization efforts for In-service amphibious ship programs and rapid acquisition initiatives in response to urgent needs.
You will advise the Branch Head on results of analytical activities and assessments related to maintenance and modernization that supports the amphibious fleet.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Providing advice to senior leadership on all contracting and policy issues, and helping to structure the associated decision-making processes; 2) Providing technical oversight, monitoring and administration of contracts; 3) Developing and coordinating the annual agenda; 4) Analyzing the planning, programming and policy issues; 5) Preparing assessments in all areas and accounting for programmed contracting budget.
