Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Process Improvement Specialist, you will use your knowledge of and experience with implementing continuous process improvement for a Government Contracting Services department to optimize business results and customer experience by: Providing project leadership and technical support in the creation, management, and sustainment of a methodical approach to increasing quality and performance throughout all business areas in support of the Strategic Plan. Leading project team(s) in defining and implementing process improvements on key initiatives that result in significant improvements in service delivery, reduced costs, increased quality, and effective and efficient use of resources while reinforcing the development of a culture of quality and process improvement within an organization. Identifying potential improvement opportunities and advising management of these opportunities at the enterprise level to support the Strategic Plan. Functioning as a project manager, trainer, and facilitator by developing and maintaining training materials, recommending educational curricula, and providing guidance, training, and assistance to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications:GS-14 Level: You must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors), performing at least three (3) of the following: Maintaining and/or improving internal controls or administrative procedures and systems. Developing policy and procedure manuals, operational priorities, and/or outcome-based goals and objectives for the organization. Reviewing requests that obligate resources ensuring alignment with the goals and objectives of the organization; and/or Providing program direction to subordinate staff and to a variety of other officials.
