As a Operations Program Manager GS-0340-15, you will be part of Suitability Executive Agent Programs, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will be responsible for administering OPM's suitability adjudications program to include the processing of suitability adjudicative actions that have not been delegated to agencies and that affect positions in all executive branch government offices.

Duties

Personally reviews and/or provides guidance in processing of suitability issues that involve complex, potentially controversial, or sensitive issues. Serves as principal advisor to the Director, Suitability Executive Agent Programs, on all aspects of suitability operations and adjudications. Provides technical guidance to agencies in the performance of their delegated suitability functions. Translates legal and policy requirements into operational guidance for Suitability Executive Agent Programs Operations (Adjudications) personnel.

Qualifications

For the GS 15: You must have one-year specialized experience at the GS-14 level (or equivalent) serving as an expert in reviewing or making suitability determinations, or carrying out duties requiring expert knowledge of Executive Orders, regulations, and policies governing federal personnel security vetting programs and protocols? Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-14 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS15 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
