Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.FV-F: To qualify for this position at the FV-F (FG/GS 5-9) you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least three years of progressively responsible general experience that demonstrates the ability to analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, recognize solutions, plan and organize work and convey information, with at least one year equivalent to the FG/GS-4 level. Such experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative or other responsible work. Experience in substantive and relevant secretarial, clerical or other responsible work may be qualifying as long as the work experience provides evidence of the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of this position. Experience of a general clerical nature (typing, filing, routine procedural processing, maintaining records or other non-specialized tasks) is NOT creditable. Specialized experience is: Experience applying administrative practices and procedures, gathering administrative and technical data from a variety of sources, and assisting with managing projects and programs.FV-G: To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to FV-F (FG/GS 5/7/9).Specialized experience is: planning, developing, monitoring, and executing a variety of administrative programs related to office procedures/guidelines and human capital activities; and compiling data and information for reporting; identifying problems and applying analytical skills toward resolution of organizational issues or concerns.Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this vacancy announcement

Education

Education substitution for FV-F: Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree OR a combination of education and experience may be qualifying for this position.

Education substitution for FV-G Band: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR a combination of education and experience may be qualifying for this position. Education at the graduate level in an accredited college or university must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.

Foreign education must be evaluated by a private professional organization specializing in interpretation of foreign education credentials or an accredited US educational institution in terms of equivalency to a degree acquired at an American college or university. A copy of the evaluation results must be included, otherwise your foreign education will not be considered.

This position may be filled at the FV-F or FV-G. This announcement does not constitute a commitment or an obligation on the part of management to promote the employee selected at some future date. Promotion will depend upon the selectee meeting all training, qualification requirements and recommendation by the supervisor.
