The position serves as the Administrative Specialist of the New England Regional Administrator in the office of National Engagement. The position provides a wide range of administrative support for a variety of projects associated with the functions of the New England Regional Administrator.
Duties
Performs a combination of routine and multiple and varying assignments under the general direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, or more experienced professional. Acts as an individual contributor and/or member of a team for projects/programs within a defined area of responsibility. Applies experience and detailed knowledge to plan and accomplish assignments. Reviews and manages incoming and outgoing correspondence for applicability, appropriate routing, accuracy, and format. Maintains the automated mail control program to log, edit, and query all correspondence. Works closely with lines of business and staff offices as well as the Administrator's Correspondence office, to-ensure controls are answered in a timely manner. Maintains an awareness of the latest trends in office management and office technology.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.

- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Successful completion of a security investigation may be required.

At least one (1) year of experience must be equivalent to the FG/GS-4 level work in the administrative, professional, technical, investigative or comparable work area.OREducation Substitution: Successful completion of a full 4 year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, gained from an accredited college or university.ORCombination education and experience may be qualifying for this position.
