Duties

In this position you will be responsible for executing the Office of Human Resources Management's (HRM's) external engagement strategy and requirements to include researching, developing, posting and maintaining digital media products to make agency information accessible to CBP's workforce and external consumers. HRM's external engagement program includes digital content management (e.g. web and social media content) and engagement with external stakeholders to champion the CBP workforce through strong and trusted partnerships. This position starts at a salary of $68,405.00 (GS-09, Step 1) to $107,590.00 (GS-11, Step 10) with promotion potential to $128,956 (GS-12 Step 10). In this Digital Communications Specialist position, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals involved in providing extensive knowledge of current CBP-wide and HRM missions and priorities. Qualifications

Experience: You qualify for the GS-09 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Coordinating within your department to ensure its communication effectiveness and encouraging adoption of relevant digital engagement techniques into the corporate culture and into all products and services; Monitoring effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of digital engagement programs, and analyzing, reviewing, and reporting on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results; and Researching, and writing communication products such as talking points, brochures, and web content Experience: You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Researching, developing, posting and maintaining digital engagement products to make information accessible to internal and external customers; Analyzing and evaluating policies, programs, operations and initiatives as well as the intended audience and draft plans and/or products to achieve a communication objective; and Developing new or modified work methods, communication strategies, materials, and programs that support and promote agency, organizational, and program goals; information systems; and public and congressional liaison.
