This position serves as a Human Resources Specialist in the Executive and Political Resources Center, Departmental Office of Human Resources Management, U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). The Center is responsible for the management and administration of the Department's Senior Executive Service and Political Resources Programs.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.To qualify for the Grade 13, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12, it must include:
Experience performing policy and operations work in at least two of the following human resources specialty areas: classification, staffing and recruitment, compensation, employment, performance management or executive development.
Experience interpreting and applying HR principles, policies and procedures for Career SES and/or Non-Career SES, Schedule C political appointees, and Senior Level (SL) and Scientific and Professional (ST).
To qualify for the Grade 14, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-13, it must include:
Experience managing and/or administering programs pertaining to Career and Non-career senior executives that include recruitment/staffing/qualifications, appointments, performance management and/or executive development.
Experience interpreting and applying recruitment and staffing principles, policies and procedures for Career SES and/or Non-Career SES, and Schedule C political appointees, Senior Level (SL) and Scientific and Professional (ST).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
